Like Adam, I am also in need of some motivation to get the year kicked off. I have updated my profile and signed up for my first race. Unfortunately, I had already committed another race that weekend with a friend of mine, so instead of running in Massillon, I will be running in Kent (probably best for my first race, it's a ton closer and I'm much more familiar with the area)
I have kept mildly in shape over the winter. Mostly, it had nothing to do with running, but I do hope on the treadmill from time to time to make sure I can still run a mile or two.
So, I have about 3 weeks to get comfortable with running 3.1 miles.
