5k Training has Commenced!

I spent some time on Monday looking for 5k training plans that I could use to prepare for the race April 2nd. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a procrastinator plan for people with 3 weeks left to train, so I'm stuck with slicing two weeks off of a 5 week plan. It's a beginner plan, so I think I'll be ok.

The plan has me running about 8 miles a week. 3.5 one day, then 3 other days doing about 2 - 2.5ish.

I ran two miles on Monday and two miles today. I feel pretty good. Monday I was aching a bit, I have a sharp pain in my right ankle (that I've noticed for some time now) but today it only hurt for the beginning of the run then subsided. So I'm feeling pretty excited. I would update the tracker, but Adam has it locked so only he can update it. Documentation will now show that Adam is a better runner than me by no fault of my own. *sigh*

It's also a nice surprise that it stopped raining and the sun came out. I had planned all day to have to hit the treadmill, but alas! Fresh air!

Let's hope the rest of the week stays nice.
