Race Day

It was 32 degrees at race time. I believe this was also the first time where I didn't know a single person that was there.

I would like to say .... DOMINATION...was not a term I would use to describe my performance. The entire course was uphill. After the first 2 hills I started passing everyone thinking that, was probably it for the incline. Then I realized that it was a steady climb up to Tiger Stadium which finally peaked at the 2.5 mile mark. I felt pretty good but it was slow going. I got in a groove early on by some guy did the whole sprint /walk thing until I get behind you and then sprint ahead.

I kept pace with one girl during the race and she decided she wanted to sprint at the end. I thought I was going to vomit during the sprint, so I let her win.
