Neither Jessica or myself were preparing for the race hence the bad times. After I finished I had honestly thought I'd be on par for a 22 minute finish and I was surprised my my poor time. Although Jessica was slightly faster than her typical 10minute mile pace.
Overall the race was very well done. There was a DJ providing tunes that could be heard for a good half mile in all directions as well as the Orrville High School pep band at about the 1 mile mark. Then at the water stop there were cheerleaders cheering on the runners as we embarked on a slight climb through suburbia.
Our times are below:
| Place | Name | Finish | Pace | ||||||||
| ===== | ===================== | ======== | ===== | ||||||||
| 73 | Adam Beltz | 26:23.5 | 8:30 | ||||||||
| 109 | Jessica Hanlon | 29:07.6 | 9:23 |
Due to the nature of our training, we decided to pump out another 6 miles after the race was over by running the course an additional 2 times. We only made it around 1 more time and then decided to hit up the 1mile course and call it a day.
All in all it was a good time and it gave me an opportunity to put together a new play list for my Zune

- Eddie Rabbitt – Driving My Life Away
- Linkin Park – Faint
- Linkin Park - The Catalyst

- The Offspring – Why Don’t You Get a Job
- Papa Roach – Kick in the Teeth
- My Darkest Day – Goodbye
