I have no idea how fast I ran. I had initially planned on going to the gym to avoid running in inhumane heat, but when I realized that outside was actually cooler than my apartment, I changed my mind but was too lazy to run back in and get my watch.
I had planned to run 4, but got so caught up that when I got to 2.5 without turning around, I figured I'd run the whole 6 mile trail. Can't take full credit though, I walked .5 of a mile up the hill to the water fountain but did run the rest back.
Didn't eat enough for breakfast though so I'm exhausted now. I ended up partially passing out at brugger bagels when I decided I needed to eat something and got a lox sandwich post run. Apparently, running with nothing but 1 packet of value time oatmeal in the stomach isn't sufficient. Who would have thought?
My toes hurt like hell now though. Not sure if its just a typical running ache or if perhaps I should look into getting new socks.
Interesting sites I saw on my run today:
- A ton of butterflies
- A ton of dogs
- A large woman screaming bloody murder into her steering wheel while driving
Also, I'm using my old iPod to run. Jammed to some really old tunes that kept skipping after 2 minutes. I'll have to fix that sometime.....
